tent pole
just tested my luxe mini peak 11, defo w/proof as it honked it down, i would like to know if buying a backpacking light carbon pole is a good idea or did someone on here make a better one, i have a rod rest i,m going to use for this week, completely forgot to ask earlier.
it's not that I can and others can't, it's that I will and others won't.

Re: tent pole
Many carbon poles are really too flexy for 'mids due to the fairly long lengths required. I've no experience of the BPL pole but I'd want to know what the wall thickness and diameter was.i would like to know if buying a backpacking light carbon pole is a good idea
I'm sure there's someone on here who could helpdid someone on here make a better one.

Re: tent pole
I have been reallly impressed with how stiff stu's pole is.
Re: tent pole
orderd 1 off stu, my makeshift 1 was a bit dangerous on narrow roads/tracks, but held my tent up great

(Aren't you meant to pitch your tent when you get there - not before you leave home? )paramart wrote:orderd 1 off stu, my makeshift 1 was a bit dangerous on narrow roads/tracks, but held my tent up great
