They look good. How's the mug/pot supported? Is there a ledge or cross piece inside the windshield or does it perch on top?

Pot's supprted on 2 stainless rods / wires. Windshield is 90mm high so everything fits inside a Mytimug or similar :-bd

Yeah, everything as a kit. Stove, windshield, supports, fuel bottle and instructions ... I know most people ignore these but it makes me happier

I'm in.

As for the instructions I burnt 1/3 of mine reading them after trying to light the 22g stove without a proper read :-0

I like this

So er how easy is it to put the simmer ring on the hot burner? In my mind I see boiling some water up, then putting the simmer ring on to hold the boil...but can;t quite see how I would do that, coz I guess you don't burn with the simmer ring on?

Zippy you can leave the ring on the stove then just slide it down when you want to simmer ... fairly easy to do without burning yourself.

So which stove do I want to buy?

I tend to actually cook meals rather than boil water.

When you say cook, can you give me an example ... full English or Cous cous?

What type of pot / pan do you usually use?

Well cous cous is quite likely with haloumi and spiced sausage perhaps.

Crepes, bean stews etc and very ppssibly full english!

Potwise... Anything really trangia pots, gsi solo, kettle, flat frying pan thing.

It would most likely be used in a honey stove as a 4 panel or 6 depending on nature of trip :-)

In that case the only BB stove that'll work is the new 'AfterBurner' ... all the others require the pot's placed directly on top of the stove.

Ah I did wonder that actually.

I shall await appearance on the site.

Perhaps a wee rundown of all the stoves would be a good blog post for reference?

Yep. Cybermen from Dr Who back in the days when you used to watch it from behind the couch. Bloody. Terrifying.

Edit: must have one of them there stoves. Got a caldera cone needing a decent burner.

I don't have a telly ... and I've never watched Dr Who.

While we're at it - what? Does a Caldera cone look like some kind of Sci-fi creature too?
