A few questions:
What sort of sleeping mat have you got, Will the sleeping bag have to compensate for a Summer spec mat for example?
Are you allergic to down?
Are you open to the idea of a backless bag or a quilt?

Yes, as JS says we need to know a bit more first ... there's a few good buys knocking around at present.

Ive been using a short ccf mat but i have a thermarest mat as well unsure of the specs but it is 180 and pretty warm and yeah i could be up for a quilt if i was convinced ;) and i'm not allergic to down and i think i would prefer down!

Actually a very high spec bag ... right on the budget.

Off the top of my head, TNF cats meow and mountain hardware lamina 20 should be ok. Both are synthetic
but there again, that vango looks pretty good, probably a better buy :)

My only concern with the Vango is that it might not be warm enough for proper winter excursions ... nothing a jacket wouldn't sort though.

It's certainly light and will pack small but it's difficult to get a winter bag for £150 without a compromise somewhere ;)

OK, who's played a funny trick with the internet. I can't find any AK sleeping bags on the site :?

And sleeping mats were a bit hidden, took a few clicks to find those.

I couldn't find them yesterday either. I'm sure they're on there but the new site doesn't make finding stuff that isn't under the main heading an easy task.

I read somewhere, probably facebook, that AK are out of stock of sleeping bags so they have not yet listed them on the site due to the low priority (of having nothing to sell).

What is it with Alpkit not having sleeping bags this time of year? When I was after one a couple of Autumns ago for the coming winter there was no stock then!
