Fork Mounted Bottles...

Post by Richard G »

Just wondering what might be good options for mounting water bottles to forks if you don't have mount points? Would only be using rarely (I'm thinking of doing Badlands again at some point, and having a lot of water was pretty important).

These seem like they might be the most secure option I've seen so far.

Would definitely have to be something I could put on / take off without damage as they would likely only stay there for a week or so.

There's loads of bottle mount options now, although I'm sure they vary in strength

Tailfin is the worlds hottest vindaloo. Amazed they have ever sold any at that price
For suspension fork i drilled a hole in a jubilee clip and tapped it and then used thick rubber underneath
All 6 for under a fiver

I've got the Tailfin ones. If I recall correctly £25 for two pairs off Fleabay. They are nicely made and well-considered, with spacers to adapt to various diameter fork legs, and multiple mountings points too, but to to be honest, a roll of insulation tape round the bottle cage itself would have achieved the same result.
