There is a shooting cabin bothy in the peak district above the old snake inn SK 11764 91486

Anyone know how much sleeping space there is in there?

Thanks

Presume you refer to the one up oyster clough.
(Without checking the grid ref)

You could fit 3 or 4 in lay near each other. Its pretty small and there are no sleeping platforms at all so its direct on the stone floor. Which is why id not sleep in it.

There is a table in there, the odd chair and a couple of stools.

No fireplace (obviously please dont have a fire on the ground inside or outside).

Very little flat ground near it for tents.

Quite popular with local yoofs staying in there.

Oyster Clough. Indeed thanks.

And yes, definitely no fires.

There are a couple of others in the locale. Similar in as much as no sleeping platforms, and no fireplaces. DM me if you want details

Cheers all,

Made it up to oyster Clough last night and very grateful to find it. It'd have been a really grim night to have camped out.

All dry inside apart from a puddle in the far right corner but still room for three of us easily, me under the table with some tyvek under the bivvy bag.

Plenty of other people's rubbish there sadly and we didn't have a bin bag to take it away, sorry. Someone had thrown rice right outside the door and (probably dog) sub standard 5m from the door.

Very minimal space to camp outside, maybe one mini tent or bivvy once you have removed the rice.
