Well, with three hours until I hit the road, I'm nearly done faffing but I suspect that I'll still be messing about until 5 minutes before lift off.

When 1700 comes I'll see about calling the takeaway and asking em nicely if they might stay open til 0030

Hopefully the word spreads and I'll do same for next weeks

Sadly I'm busy Saturday and already contemplating a trip to near Stoke on Sunday to pick up a GPS unit (which is already a fair trek from Sheffield. That'll be more than enough training for me. Anyway, if your back's up to that you should be in Wales...

I was just nodding off to sleep last night when I realised I hadn't loaded the route onto the Garmin!

I'm hoping that the weather in mid-wales is better than what we are having at the moment, just went to get the trail food for tomorrow and got soaked. Not as if it was a rogue shower either.

Bloody hell, I can't believe the weather forecast - home is going to get a deluge, I've finally left my rain cloud behind!

I would say I wish I was there, but that may not be strictly true...

Bit of a late one but any chance anyone is going to be driving through caersws this eve and be able to give me a lift, a few hours of train delays and cancellations mean that the shakedown ride to llanbrynmair isn’t as enticing now

Well it’s pouring with rain from Newtown to mac. Still for one I am here in the hotel, having dinner then packing the bike and going to bed. Hope the forecast is actually true!!

Shame about the rain tonight. Will make things much slower.

I gave up on the bike and headed up. Will sort in the morning.
