WRT GR.

This years WRT grid references have left the building. If you haven't got yours by this afternoon, then consider the following ...

1/ Did you actually remember to enter?
2/ The email will go to the address linked to paypal, so check there.
3/ Have a look in your spam folder.
4/ Now look at all the other email accounts you have but rarely use.
5/ Did someone else enter on your behalf? They'll likely have it.

Still nothing? Give me a shout.

Best time to cook a route up is after a few beers in the Wynnstay the previous night, then at least it'll have seemed like a good idea at the time

I was going to put you a special one in Hafren but then thought it'd likely confuse everyone ... I'm sure you'll be fine.

Dash4it usually do a 40% discount a few weeks before WRT, so they must be keeping an eye on us  . Nothing at the moment though.

I'm agfter an entertaining (in a good way) route between Y Bala and Llandrillo. Doesn't look like there's many bridleways or byways between the two, so am I stuck on the B road...?

Llandrillo? Is there a secret GR up there as well, cos that's pretty off-piste?

Yup, it is, but up till that point it's pretty much been following the 2014 BB200, so I imagine I'll be tussocked out and in need of a change... 🤣

I'm pretty sure, that last year, someone made a gpx available of all the GRs preplotted... has anyone done that again this year? Just curious, and lazy.

The link I included in the email is to a site that allows you to pinpoint all the GR on a single map.

Cheers Stuart,

Just did that.

There is one in the sea (at high tide) but it is reachable off the beach as the tide goes out

Eh? You sure? I was hoping there would be but couldn't see one. I'm probably working to a completely incorrect set of GR's then, what with Bob's comment and now yours. Has everyone else got one just outside Chepstow?

Different subject, I'm checking up various supply locations in odd moments. I like to support local things so I never bring any food/drink from home, just pick it up on the way round. Quite a few places have sadly given up the ghost since previous years so it's even more important now. The pub and cafe in Abergynolwyn have fallen by the wayside for example, and my favourite boozer near Mach has stopped doing food. Corris shop seems to have short hours, etc etc.

On the upside with these GR's, Tywyn Golden Sands chippy is a possibility for a revisit but I'm not sure I can stand the hilarity  .

Barmouth beach... I'm just trying to link BB200 routes from 2014 and 2015, just because...

I believe areas such as that are quite often and commonly referred to as 'beach'.

One for the pack raft crew??

So while I’ve signed up for the LHC, any tips as to how to join the dots from the more experienced bikepackers?
