Any idea how long they've been testing Stu? Sounds great but I'd have concerns about longevity and how well it handles repeated compression, it'll be good to see jow this develops.
I can see down getting phased out fairly soon, some of the synthetic offerings nowadays aren't that far behind now, some of the thermoplume stuff is very impressive.

Well, as Phil McCrevis gets a mention in the first sentence it could only go one way after that...

Sounds like Theresa Tickle and Philip McCrevis are short of an additional member to really make it work. Fingers crossed it works out.

Totally missed Phil McCrevis, and noted Theresa Tickle but just thought she sounded like the sort of person who works go around making insulation out of bushes 🤦

This is the second time I've been got this morning, despite being well aware of the date.

Fair play Stu, nice work.

Behind every good joke is a kernel of truth though...I've just been reading how native Americans used to use the fluff from poplars and willows ('cottonwoods') for spinning, making bandages, and to line the cots of infants...so some insulating purpose

Good one Stu
Got fished in totally although I did wonder how wise it is to start tinkering with plant genetics - definite recipe for some horribly mutated plant monster going on the rampage through the streets of Glasgow

A Swedish sportswear brand Elevenate is listing Fellex Kapok Insulation as one of it's sustainable technical insulations. Kapok really , but it claims to be water resistant :ugeek: ?
