Anything in Rosedale Abbey? I'm assuming all will be closed when I come through, but there looks to be a church and a toilet block, do either have taps?

There's a campsite which I'm guessing has a tap, that's my hope

Just spoke to the Rev, there is a tap with drinking water on the north side entrance of the church low down on a butress.

On the subject of Rosedale. On the way up the Chimney, are we really expected to drag our bikes up that bit of ultra steep footpath, rather than slogging it up the tarmac...!?!

Well I will as I'll be pushing in any case! I'm sure the road is an option for you lot with gears though.
Stus routing software seems to default to footpaths wherever possible...

That's a different Moorcock, incidentally just up the road from me and quite a distance from Thirsk

Well 7.5 hours in the car and we are at Gisborough for the night. It’s pretty wet here.
See you all at the start line in the morning.

A mostly enjoyable route! Much quicker to ride than YD300 & BB300 but still challenging, especially when pedalling into the wind on exposed sections - Blakeley Ridge etc.

Really handy knowing the location of drinking water taps from earlier posts, worked a charm!

Hopefully everyone else enjoyed it

Finished around 07:30 (ish) after 23 hours and 19 minutes of riding. Pretty sure my official time will be six minutes slower, due to my Wahoo throwing a sub standard fit and refusing to load the previously loaded route, meaning I left later than everyone, except Duncan. Was lovely to meet people again, and to put more faces to names. The raspberry ripple ice cream from the bakery in Danby was superb... 😋

Great work! I went with the chocolate and cinder toffee. Slightly disappointed they didn't have cones big enough to accommodate 2 scoops so I was forced to add a flake to the tub to substitute the missing calories

I meant to say... Well done to everyone who got round, especially those finishing later this afternoon. Also props to the chap who bailed at Dalby, keep at it fella!

I'm in absolute awe at those who finished in the early hours, some proper brutal climbs in the last third of the route. It's definitely not the lack of talent, skill, endurance and confidence that's holding me back (🤣), I just need a lighter, faster bike and kit setup! I mean, just look at the state of me in that photo gallery on the event page, totally broken. 🤣
