Re: Atlas mountain race.
Amazing performance, he took the lead at just past the 1,000km mark when the previous leader Matteo de Marchi dropped out with medical issues. De Marchi had ridden 72 hours with 50 minutes stopped. Brutal!

It's the hidden shock. TM of Bold Cycles (bought by Scott in 2019)Bearbonesnorm wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 5:36 pm Robin Gemperle appears to be the first rider home and rode the 1334KM course in a time of 3 days, 20 hours and 15 minutes.

And for a mere 8700 quid his bike could be yours!
Re: Atlas mountain race.
Even with his bike I'm pretty sure I'd be a good 10 days slower. And for preference I'd be about 2.5 weeks slower. I know these type of events are an amazing feat of physical performance and endurance but the idea of travelling to a totally different country, culture, landscape etc and then seeing almost f#ck all just seems pretty crass to me.
