WTD 26 inch steel mtb frame

Post by kvragu »

Just putting out a feeler, finding one of these at a modest price has proven trickier than anticipated.

I found a crack in my road(+) 650b frame, so I need a transplant. I want to try a 'retro' 26 inch conversion. Something that should fit me at 6ft, and has a 1 1/8 inch steerer. Anyone has a failed project that they'd be willing to post? Based in Dundee.

Edit: frame should also be rigid and have bosses for canti/v-brakes.

I've a size large NS bikes society frame with a hope headset if that's any interest? It's well used, with plenty of paint scuffs but seems fine. 135 qr back end, 27.2 post, 1 1/8" headtube.

I think these tend to be dedicated mtbs? I'm aiming for a roadish looking thing rather.

It's fairly low and long, I think it would work for road/gravel but there would be a load of seatpost showing so definitely not road looking

I've an On One 456 going spare. In large 18/19" frame size if ^ doesn't work out and may be interested?

Sorry, forgot to specify that I'm into a rigid frame with canti posts. Want to reuse the rim brake wheels I have already.
