Helmet strap - Stubble

I'm generally clean shaven, but currently ricking done winter bum fluff. I won't call it a beard, as that implies some kind of luscious facial mane, this is more patchy, scratchy, wirey bits.
When I ride with any length of stubble I often find it gets caught in the strap of my helmet, which basically plucks the hairs out from under my chin / throat area and is very painful.

To the be-stubbled amongst you, any hints or tips on a way to wrap or cover the strap to prevent this ?

I've had a beard for as long as anyone can remember and can't say I've ever really had a problem. Could you perhaps give it a wrap of insulation tape?

Personally not found it to be a problem, although I have permanent stubble rather than a luscious beard

You can get soft little patches that go under the strap on kids helmets to stop trapping skin when you close the side release buckle. They might work?

I found designer stubble could get a bit scratchy under the strap. Full beard no problem!

Wear a buff maybe? Or sew a sleeve for the strap out of an offcut of lightweight fleece.

Thanks for the suggestions folks. I'll see if I can wrap it in something.

If you're finding your helmet straps a pain then definitely don't buy an Endura Shacket. The poppers are agony! 🤣

Genuinely terrifying but very believable! 😄
