Are these the 'go to' for winter hiking/cycling then?? Have you considered some Altbergs??

Alan, i tried some toundra boots 2 year ago before buying these.

https://www.keenfootwear.com/p/M-TARGHE ... GH-WP.html

the salomon boots are very narrow at the heel. the keen boots are nice and wide, and rated to minus 25.
and are toasty on my club foot that dont bend or create any warmth.

and are great on the bike obviously.

Not sure if these are in a similar league as any of the above https://www.sportsshoes.com/product/adi ... u-adi15690

Mixed reports about how waterproof they actually are but I've ordered some  Hope they keep any rain out (other than it seeping in from above which obviously I'll try to manage with some waterproof pants).

Thanks for the heads up Shaf but they won't be warm enough. Cheers for keeping me in the loop. I've ordered the Keen Revel IV High Polar Hiking Boots. Fingers crossed I've got the fitment correct.

I'm sure Karl won't mind as this is the current 'cold weather shoes' thread (maybe). No good for him but my Adidazlers arrived.

Made in Viet, Primaloft plastered to the sides aswell as 'cold Rdy'. Not sure how waterproof they are as part of the uppers looks solid/unmeshed but the bit around the laces might let water in. There is difference of opinion amongst the websites as to whether this bit actually has some goretex lining in.

Here's some pics, in a size ten.5 (same as my size for 5:10) and fit like a comfy glove. Also, as soon as I pooped the cold feet in I felt some instant warmth. Still available at Wiggles for £96 I believe and there's a discount code flying about that still works (for an extra 10%).

Telling me about the lugs in their various dimensions/angles!

Can't whack a bit of primaloft, as long as they're actually waterproof aswell. I guess we will find out sooner or later...
