I've got two perfectly good Gore Waterproofs with knackered zips that need replacing

Can anyone recommend a repairer that they've used?

Scottish Mountain Gear are the folks often recommended, although I haven't used them personally

Have you tried the zipper-adjustment thingy Dave?

If the actual hooks are worn & the whole zipper wants replacing then there's also Lancashire Sports Repairs to add to Bens reccomendation..

I haven't used them personally, but i'm sure they sorted one of Nordy's old gimp masks for him

The zips are properly fecked, my fault for using the waterproofs on the sea and the salt has done the damage. I thought Nordy's gimp mask came with a warranty attached to his entire dungeon?

Think he may of had a similar experiance to you Dave, in that he said the warranty didn't cover wear due to salty fluids

Many of the Alpkit stores have a repair station in them, they repaired a bikepacking bag for me after a mouse chewed a hole i it and did an excellent job. If you don't have a store near you I'm sure you could post it?

Alpkit did a great job of popping a new zip in my wingnut bag. Just sent some photos for a quote then posted it off to them. Hope that helps a bit Dave.

If the zip coil/teeth are plastic and it's just the slider that's corroded, it's pretty easy to replace the slider yourself, it you can identify the type of slider used, most are available on eBay for a couple of quid.
