WTD - dropper project - 27.2, external - spares/repairs etc

Post by jameso »

I want to try a dropper on a bike - needs to be 27.2mm, external cable, short drop, 400mm or so extended overall length. Simple as poss, spring and stoppers type preferred. Non-remote type Michael Jackson crotch grab style is not an issue either.

There's a few available online at @£120-150 but if there's an old Gravity Dropper or something similar in need of repair in someone's spares box I'd be interested?

Got a thomson if you are interested Jameso. Works but needs a service. I'd like money for it but not a huge amount.

Lazarus, saw that thanks, maybe an option though doubt I'd get any further with it than you have

Phil, that might be ideal, do you want to pm with a price? (edit, Thompson's a bit complex for what I'm after so I passed, but thanks Phil)

It doesn't work but that is probably just because I can't fix it. It's a simple device so I'm sure someone with more patience than me could get it working.
