New BB jerseys - pre-order one now.

Post by Bearbonesnorm »

The return of an old favourite with a twist. As normal, they're pre-order with orders closing at the beginning of Oct and delivery early Dec. Order one or more here, price includes UK delivery but overseas orders are welcome: https://www.bearbonesbikepacking.co.uk/ ... tops-2022/

I've tried to keep things simple John but I won't rule it out. It'll depend if enough people ask.

Ooh goodie! Vagrant is my middle name.

Note to self: remember to order XL or even XXL despite the fact I'm normally M. My first M one (the orange one) requires me to be otherwise naked or I can't get the blasted thing on. XL (the 'compass' one) I can just fit over a base+fleece.

PS. Red and black eh, we can channel our inner vampire..

PPS. Am glad Angry Bear is back.

PPPS. Who decided on the lumberjack theme? Still, bear in the woods... trees.. lumberjack...yeah why not.

Who decided on the lumberjack theme?
That'd be kinda me Reg (BTW, I believe it's very popular in certain cycling circles) and then she who knows what she's doing transformed my scribbling into something usable.

'Tis black. Wear it over a black base/fleece like I do and nobody'll ever know  .

Ordered, better get a red and black bike looked out! I'd be interested in a gillet as my green one is looking a bit threadbare....

I always get confused between gilets and jerseys. I think one's a type of bikepacker's razor (not that I have any use for such a thing) and the other isn't.

We'll all be singing shang-a-lang as we run with the band wearing that one, surely
But no doubt I shall be ordering one

I'm told this is plaid and not tartan Peter - world of difference apparently

They're kind of a BB jersey hallmark Rob.

I have to stay out of the sun so the idea of wearing a fleece base layer does not quite work for me. #:-S
I do have some Merino arm warmers though. :-bd
Or I could cut the sleeves of my current BB jersey and sew them on.

Yeah that was a fun option on previous jerseys (but presumably "ker-CHING!")

Anyroad, gone for XL; wavered over XXL but decided against the "Michelin Man" look in the end.

Mebbes it's just me, but I'll reiterate that I reckon these sizings are pretty "snug". My previous Medium was skin-tight and can only just manage a base-layer under it. XL still looks fine with nothing under it, but much more weather-flexible 'cos it'll handle base+fleece as well.

Everyone is having 'John Climber' on the back and they'll be under strict instruction to behave badly whenever wearing it.

No, not this time John.

I think it depends on the 'look' you're after Reg. Most folk would likely wear a jersey next to skin or maybe over a very thin base layer ... however, yes do size up if you'd like the pac-a-mac look :-bd

Remind me Reg, next time we meet I can explain race-fit (I'll look it up and study it in depth, having no personal experience). We could then further discuss comfort-fit, a matter upon which I have considerable experience

Loving that design but if Reg, who has the BMI of a preying mantis, is thinking he needs an XL, where does that leave the normals? I am nearly twice his weight and girth (and height as it happens) so suspect an XXXXXXXXL version might do it? In long sleeve ....
I'm just going outside ...
