Wife wants a trip away in the camper this coming bank holiday near the sea with mountain biking, not too busy(moon on a stick)and access to a rail station as she's following on after I've driven down with kids and dogs.
I'm not interested in Cornwall as I see all the traffic heading past Bristol every summer weekend and it fills me with dread.

Somewhere slightly south west ish maybe? West Wales? Dorset?

What little gem's can you bestow on me?

I vote for somewhere on the Pembrokeshire coast. I like St Davids and surrounding but I don't think there's a station.

There's a site we've stayed at above the cliffs and right on the coast path. I'll get the details off her who knows stuff.

Swansea area gets you Afan and Mumbles for beaching, plus trains.

Porth Clais, Caerfai Bay, pencarnan farm and rhosson ganol are all excellent campsites near St David's, with pencarnan my favourite (oh has been going 40+ years). Also Newport by Fishguard but will be busy

Or closer to Tenby is meant to be great also.

Biking is OK, not much off road stuff except the preseli hills

About 15 miles from me in the middle or rural Dorset, we have used this one as a meet up with family camping site. Right on the Dorset Gravel Dash route, but train stations are a fair distance.

10 minute walk to train station, bus stops and pubs. Regular trains and buses to Tenby one way, Pembroke the other. Several of Pembrokeshire's best beaches within 30 minute drive. I like Porthclais but if you are in a campervan you cant go in the bottom field with the sea view...........unless you take a tent with you then its ok. If you dont take a tent you will have to stay in the other 2 fields with no view and all the other campervans.
