Norm's barn clear-out PART 1

Time the workshop had a proper tidy up and clear out. Lots more stuff to come but thought I'd get the ball rolling.

All prices are posted to UK. I'll listen to offers if you think any prices are off ... i can only say no

1/ SOLD Velological rim dynamo. seatstay mount fitted but others are available.
Pretty much plug and play ... they do arrive with a 'thermistor' which is simply a small bulb fitted between dynamo and light, however they're rubbish. On the advice of Kerry from K-Lite, I ran this without one and didn't encounter any problems. Plenty of info on the Velological website. £80

2/ SOLD SA S2K Kickshit DISC hub built onto a black 29" Mavic XM719 with SS spokes. This will fit any 9mm / 135mm dropouts. The difference between the two speeds is 138% - as an example, if you were running a 36 / 17t combination you would have a 56" gear and a 77" gear. There's no shifter, cables, etc you simply change gear with a little back kick of the pedals. It only requires a subtle movement and you soon get used to it. It's like cheating at singlespeed. £150

3/ SOLD Salsa 'Minimal Rack'. Perhaps the 'original' bikepacking rack? Will fit front or rear. Not really designed for panniers, more for attaching bags to. £40

4/ Salsa Woodchippers. 25.4mm clamp but could be shimmed for a 31.8mm stem. Wrapped and fitted with Diacompe V levers which will work with MTB BB7 etc. 42cm at hoods and 60cm at the widest point. £65

Hello Stu - curious about the wheel. Is there much sealing on the hub?

The bearings are shielded but don't have what I'd describe as true seals Al. I'd avoid dragging it through rivers and probably better to consider it a gravel wheel rather than a mountainbike one. The good news is, you'd not know it from a brand new wheel and it's never seen water

Cheers Stu, it does sound like a very cool idea but I shall pass as I’m also trying to pare down the shed contents and less gears is probably not what I need living here.
