Aero bars wrapping ?

For those who use aero / triathlon bars, do you wrap them or leave them bare? If you do, do you wrap only the end / grip area, or the full length?
Just curious.

Thanks

Just the grip end here. Maybe a third of the way down from memory.

I wrap the first third or so to cover where my hands will be. I do it for reasons of comfort and thermoregulation rather than grip - but it helps that too. Mine are on a distance riding bike so they have a strip of gel padding under the tape as well. I’m not trying to save weight at all.

I’ve always just used the esi racers edge (skinny) mtb foam grips on mine, prefer this to tape myself

Id never thought of that. Would they sit ok on ski jump style bars ?

There’s a few pics on my Instagram from when I used them for gbduro in 2019. have a scroll back through my page if you like. substandard8 is my username.

I've used full wrap and now have hand area only.

I reckon that this way is better when you want to be dangling kit from them or fitting a computer etc.

And it saves a few grammes.
