I used to jump off the pier and pump house at Harrington without hesitation when I was a kid, but I took one look at Nikki's Leap and thought "nope".

A good read that Reg. It's interesting to hear about someone else's take on my back garden
And yes, Cwm Pennant is lovely and quiet. Shame you didn't get to Gorseddau as the cantilever wall between the waste and tack is something else tbf.
A good effort that :-bd

Ta. I wondered when you'd be along our Jeff  . I tried not to upset the locals (apart from that mad bint (*) in Bangor) while I was there. I visited Gorseddau in 1986 on the bike - doubt it's changed one iota up there, time stands still in that area doesn't it  .

Problem is I could have spent 3 days in just ONE of the quarries I visited!

Did you like my back-door access to Australia? I did wonder if was possible (easily).

(*) maybe they're all mad?

Enjoyed that Reg, might plot that route and go for a nosey round. Old industrial remains are fascinating :-bd

Thanks for the comments folks. I'm still getting flashbacks. Amazes me sometimes what you can pack into just a few days.

How are we doing Alastair? Hope you're enjoying all our somewhat eccentric micro/miniadventures in This Place  . Interested to hear what the professionals think  .

Quality industrials there Reg. I always like a bit of backstory to my rides to keep the interest too.
Bugger about the nicked helmet  Glad you got through the trip safely. Now you get to go shopping for a new one...

Great trip Reg, after my indoctrination at the WRT I find it fascinating, it would be great to take the climbing gear for additional exploration :-bd
