Any Salisbury Plain experts?

Anyone know about the access rights on Salisbury Plain ranges?

The online gov info says there's no firing on any ranges on certain days (both Saturday and Sunday this coming weekend for instance). Does that mean I can ride any of the routes marked as bridleways or BOATs or do I still need some kind of permission?

I've seen a comment or two online implying I can almost ride through live firing exercises if I'm on a ROW but I'm not going to chance that.

Don't want to head up there and find my plans scuppered. Is a non-firing day going to be open access all official ROWs?

As with all MOD ranges - no entry to ROW during live firing - see red flags and local range firing times online.
During times of no firing no extra permission is needed to use ROW. Don’t go ‘off piste’ or play with shiny things you find on the ground….
The confusing bit is if there is blank firing exercises going on. You are perfectly entitled to be there but it can be intimidating if you aren’t used to armour crashing around and squaddies jumping out of ditches.
Check the web and obey the flags!
