BB woes giant toughroad slr gx3 2018

My BB has been noisy and shattering the peace of my cycles. I took it off and replaced the cartridge bearings only for it to be noisier.

I then ordered a new BB from Rutland which has bearing cages. If I adjust to take the play out of the crank it binds.

I'm clearly doing something wrong. Any tips?

Thanks,

Dave

Is the chainset the stock FSA Vero Pro?

If so maybe it has been over tightened and the hole in the crank is splayed?

Thanks Richard.

I'd not considered that.

Thanks.

Could well be that ... or a million other issues.

My OO Fatty has a creak when I'm standing to pedal, which, admittedly, doesn't happen that often. I've checked everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. I've completely disassembled it to its component parts, regreased the lot, replaced the bits that needed replacing (headset and rear quick release were suspect)

It's still creaking

I'm starting to think it might be either my dodgy left knee or my imagination.

Not helpful, I know, but at least we can share the pain.

I had a random creak with my Calibre Dune, couldn't figure it out, until I found a crack in the frame...
