Bottle cage offsetting mount options

Whats on the market currently as my Passport when I got it years ago was unique(ish). It only moves my cage down by 50mm though. To make thing more complex the details online describe it as being offset by 35mm only.

The reason for the discrepancy would appear to be that they are fiving the mesaure of the groove length (35mm on the rail) and not by how much further down my bottle cage mount has been moved (a staggering 50mm).

Reason for asking is that I'm wanting to move the bottle by 60 or 70mm. The Wolftooth ones are described as being 45mm offset but again this is probably the actual length of the groove. Anyone know of a way to know (or actually know which adaptors offer the longest offset. Please...

35mm (the groove and thus how far up or down I can actually move the rail.

50mm (the actual offset of my bottle cage if I use the maximum 35mm move-ablity of the bracket)...

Just get a strap-on mount - like the Decathlon one.

FWIW I use a Topeak mount-mover on one of my bikes and it only does 32mm.

Shimano Di2 battery mount also works but I don't know the adjustment amount.

And side-loading bottle cages are great.

Here’s a solution which might work for you, inspired by the Curve cycles GMX+ which has two mounts high in the downtube I’ve used a pair of Rixen Kaul bottle mounts. They fix using a steel band, by splitting the band between the two you can mount them either side of the tube.
I don’t normally need the extra but up on the downs water is scarce and I drink a LOT when it’s hot.

This seems lile it might work as it appears to have massive 'moving' potential. Anything I'm missing

Agreed (with all of the above). I'm in touch with CustomMerit about a framebag to maximise the space in the frame. If the bag comes back ever so slightly tight without the sideloaders then I could easily go back to them (I have a set)...

If 65mm offset works for you, then you could use one of the original bosses and fit a drj0n barnacle as the second.

Make your own
Strip of metal drill* the holes where you want
Fit

i used cut off from a 90 degree bracket mount for mine as this had the advanatge of not having to drill any holes I just had to use a hacksaw to cut it,
Cost 35 p time taken - 5 minutes

* weight weenies will cut the metal so its only at each bolt hole to shave off a few grammes

Would you be kind enough to illustrate how this fits on maybe with some photos. Not sure I need this setup yet but am curious. Thanks
