I have Shimano Deore 2x10 shifters and SRAM brakes on my Longitude. The shifters have windows which get in the way of the loop on my bars, so a while ago I bought a pair of identical shifters without clamps. Finally came to swap them on, and realise the window is part of the clamp

I think I need a pair of Shimano I-spec II A clamps (shifters are M610). I know you can get things to use the same mount as the brakes, but that's a whole other level of confusion, and the ones I can see seem to cost the same as a pair of shifters... each - the windows don't annoy me that much! - and there's plenty of space for two clamps.

Any tips, stuff I've missed?
