Hmm? Oh, for mudguard. Existing one almost life-expired. Checked my Blue Peter 'makes' book again to refresh my memory, and noted that I required a milk carton and gaffer tape, and scissors. Ten minutes later all done. Two drawbacks. Firstly I had to buy a milk carton. Secondly I didn't use any cableties so it's not really a proper MYOG, sorry.

Hah. Actually there's a story behind that which I'm not going to relate because it annoyed me so much when I purchased the old girl.

Talking of, er, nothing in particular, how's the new stickeroonies coming along? I liked those old red and blue SBS ones. I've also forgotten what else I'd requested. It would be on your mantelpiece if you had one.

Go on then. I'd specifically asked the persuasive sales geezer if the frame would have p@nn!er r@€k attachment points. Misguidedly that was a requirement at the time. Well I was young (48). Anyway he allowed that it would. Bike arrives and it had bolt holes at the seat end but not the axle end! Very annoyed I was. Should've sent it back. Also there were no intermediate guide(s) along the top tube for the brake pipes and gear cables so they rattled all the time. Orange's excuse was they'd just redesigned the frame and the builders had cocked up. Hmm.

That's not an excuse...that's a honest answer. Don't see many of them, nowadays.
