Who’s a member?

I’ve joined recently. Only became aware of it about 18 months ago.

more for routes than companionship.
some of the early routes in the journals would prove far too much for todays mndern mountainbiker.

Pretty much all of the routes in the Alps they classify as unrideable and oh-so-dangerous are well visited bike routes today. Some routes have become grown in and over, rendering them more difficult to ride than a couple of decades ago (mostly due to decommissioning of alpine pastures), some have seen more use and became easier, most of which been ridden well before 1950.

The "modern mountainbikers" I meet (myself included) have type 1 fun riding Augstbordpass, Hohtürli, Col de Ferret and many more which are dubbed by RSF journals with words like "toughness", "sore what not".
Times have changed.

Also, pay attention to some of the entries. They are misleading to a person not familiar with the area.

What is RSF?
Rough Stuff Fellowship. Perhaps the forerunner to pretty much what most of us enjoy.
