Not sure if this has been discussed before but was interested in opinions?

I suspect it isn't lightweight but has some interesting features, I like the ability to be able to zip two together, and the flexibility of a hammock.

But is it trying to be too much and failing at everything?

Could be good. If the weather had the potential for rain I’d still want a tarp if I were hanging. The hammock may well be waterproof but without a tarp you don’t have dry space for admin or cooking etc.

Looks vaguely similar to some of DD Hammocks and I think Clarkes (sp) ones. Not read it in depth though to know, just looking at pics.

Whilst the idea of something that can convert to do "everything" seems initially attractive I'm not sure it's worth it, personally. I can't remember needing to ever do it on a trip and not sure I'd plan to do both. Besides, with a typical hanging set-up you can fairly easily re-purpose a tarp for ground dwelling, the major issue is usually that you have no mat (if using UQ).
