Ive tried a couple. Andy at backcountry.scot had it and was looking to import but HMRC couldn't get their head around it (duty is levied according to alcohol content so it ended up as a spirit). It's OK. Just. A bit of a faff. I'd consider it for a group but not something I'd carry solo.

What he said - too much faff and quite a bit of kit (dedicated nalgene bottle, carbonator thingy and beer sachets) for an average pint. I once just diluted one with un carbonated water and it didn't taste any worse. I wondered about using them with shop bought fizzy water but it all seemed too much trouble compared to humpfing a couple of cans with you, or taking whisky.

I recall reading about dehydrated alcoholic drinks a few years ago. At the time a US company had a range that included beer, red wine, rum and coke and whisky and coke. From (unreliable) memory I think that you just had to add water. They were having trouble getting it licenced because the FDA thought that people would snort it.

I'll stick to Port because I don't like neat spirits...

Depends on how you work it ,potential for creating a 20% IPA! One of those and you wouldn’t care how it tasted

You can also eat it straight out the pack - like a very alcoholic sports gel.
