Gravel bike gearing

Currently I have 2x9 on my gravel bike with mechanical discs and I'm finding it harder to come across 9 speed components when they wear out.
Does anybody know of a reasonably priced hydraulic 10spd/11spd bundles that work well but won't break the bank?

TRP Hylex brakes, Microshift bar end shifters, Deore mechs, Sunrace cassette.

Don't fancy bar end shifters.

Thought the same about bar ends , bought some dia comps as the were on special, took about 4rides to get used to them but the next gravel bike will definitely be built with them , had a 24/34 front and 11-36 cassette with the original 9speed derailuer, it was the cheapest way I could find to get the gearing I needed ,

Bar end shifters are great. The Dia-compe work with any set up, no messing about involved.

Have to admit the bar end on my Gryphon work very nicely and were the only easy / realistic way to achieve a workable drivetrain with the bits I had.

However, running whatever doubletap SRAM shifters are on the Goldrush is lovely, too.

I suspect this post is as much us as a chocolate teapot

Possibly useful - don't Microshift do the sort of thing you might want?

Sadly best suppliers I was aware of were EU based. So, Brexit fuxit.

I too have no interest in bar end shifters AND have had no luck finding affordable drop bar brake/gear combo levers.

Even 105 is insanely expensive (last I checked).

That's why I did my road/mtb bastardisation project (which I LOVE!).

See below:

Running that system on two bikes now!

How did you attach it ?
I have OS bars so one wont fit so what was your solution?
Wanting to do it with the left hand for my doube set up as also not keen [ not sure why] on bar ends to achieve this and the actual proper [ hydro]shifter is £150 and I am not spending that to change gear.

Got a SRAM bar mount clip, prised it open until it fitted where I wanted it and then drilled out the entry point to allow for the changed angle of the bolt.

Sounds complicated but only really using brute force and then two minutes with a metal bit in a drill.

They're cheap to replace if they snap too (though never snapped one).

The one I'm using on the second bike is paired with a Shimano shifter which required a bit of light filing on the shifter but again, five minutes of fiddling so no biggy.

Complicated Nah brute force and a drill are easily within my skillset

Cheers for the info

went to look for my spare clamps and found a band on front mech holder fits bars perfectlly -curved surface so need a longer boltandpossibly a halfmoon washer.

eg
https://www.tredz.co.uk/.M-Part-Front-D ... _45217.htm

Just the first link I am sure you can get them cheaper

Not found my shifter yet so may not work.

Before I decided that I was really quite happy with bar end shifters I did look at these:

https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/gear-spares ... ion-black/

But the cost :o
A few years back I got something similar (but significantly cheaper) from SJS (not Pauls) but they no longer seem to have them on their website. iirc the ones I got were only available in 22.2 for MTB whereas the Pauls will fit road bars.
All this looked into to get my 96 MTB back to where it used to be, that is Deore DX thumbies!

I have a pair of them Sjs thumbie brackets in my spares . In use I actually preferred the position to Paul’s , but yeah 22.2

Actually have a set of gevenalle / retroshift with 9 speed dura ace levers for the project that has never happened!

I also did not get on with bar ends , have tried twice

Is that the sort of love that only a parent could give...? Looks special

I always fancied brifters, still do in fact. My 2015 arkose is still running bar end shifter and hydro brakes. Works brilliantly, although it's basically my road bike

Remember that 10 speed Shimano road shifters have the same pull ratio as 9 speed MTB stuff.

So a very reliable wide-range system can be had potentially with some of the 9 speed stuff you have and some older 10 speed road shifters, ran it on my old Fargo and worked well.

Or if you can get a whole cheap road groupset and fit larger cassette with Goatlink?

I don't quite get it, they looks the same as they do on a MTB bar - i.e. completely normal.

If that kind of shifter is suited to shifting gears on a long straight bar then how is it different mounting it on the long straight section of a drop bar right next to where your hands sit in one of the riding positions.

Folk are funny.
