Off Topic. Tell me about 20" trials bikes.

Bicycle trials is something I've fancied for a while and you can pick them up second hand quite cheap. I'm specifically interested in 20" wheel ones.
Any models I should avoid or you recommend? Anything I should know or consider in advance.
Thanks.

Expect it to hurt Ray. Greg kindly gave me an Onza a few years ago, I gave it a fettle and sometime bounce round the yard on it ... generally hurting myself in the process :-bd

Have you ridden a mod bike before? If not, they are not the most intuative, designed to be on the rear wheel 95% of the time.

I've ridden 20, 24 and 26 over the years. Stupidly sold my 26 two years ago and bought a 24 - bad idea. Doesn't work for me TBH.

Always fancied one myself as I figure they'd be great for overall strength and balance. I suspect I'd smash myself up trying to hop across a gap or something though....

Get one Ray, get one!

I had a similar Interest a couple of years ago and went for a second hand inspired Hex frame set.
It’s a 26” wheel size and not too extreme geometry. Even so, The raised bb was a weird thing to get used. Quite a workout. Didn’t help my shoulder injuries but it was a lot of fun.

I’d recommend shin pads.
