Front mudguard for a Stooge MK2

Can anyone recommend the above
please. I’ve got a a 50mm rim & 3” tyre.

Mudhugger FRX looks good but they say it’ll need modification & seem unsure if it’ll work.

I just use my mudhugger with both 2.4 and the 3" tyres

Thanks Mike. I’ll get the FRX model as I think it’s the widest they do.

Just need to see if it will fit under the fork i guess as iv not got the fork i have a carbon one and a pike.

Muckynutz do a similar guard to the mudhugger buts its longer. I use one (and have used the mudhugger) on 29 x 3 no probs

The mudhugger mudguards are quite soft and should be able to be manipulated to fit. I use one on my longitude with a 2.8 tyre and that works OK, although I hit it with a warm air gun to make it a bit easier to shape.
I cant see it not fitting, just not being wide enough and debris might get past the edge, I also found it not very long so added the extender and still added a rubber extension.

I do think they are quite expensive for what is a very simple piece of plastic.

Thanks for the info everyone. I found a Fat Hugger in the garage so I’m going to try & reshape it using hot water or an air gun. Agree they’re a bit spendy for a bit of plastic.

To fit a mudhugger adequately to my steel Krampus forks and still accommodate a 3” tyre I needed to take a knife to it.
I took out a rectangular slice side to side above the ‘wings’ that fix to the fork legs. This allows the whole thing to sit higher up above the tyre with the underside of the fork crown sitting in the guard rather than the guard completely underneath. Everything is still pretty close on the legs. Certainly needed to be careful with how the zip ties were arranged on the fork legs as they are pretty damn close to the tyre.
No problems in use thus far.
