Shed Extension. Oh Yes.

After my Dad gave me a load of woodworking machinery my 8x10 shed was no longer big enough so an extension was my only option. It cost just over £200 to build with the side walls made from fence panels being the only bits I didn't construct. Chuffed to bits with the results and now have loads of room to keep my bikes and use the machinery without having to constantly move stuff around. It's now 8x16 with the extension also being 6 inches higher, :-bd .

The internal frame in the pictures was the original front wall.

You should have seen it before, rearranging/tidying it took me the best part of four hours.

Nice work (and happy birthday btw).

Is it safe to leave bikes out there though? You hear of so many getting nicked from sheds.

They are locked to a very heavy concrete block that has a high quality motorcycle security chain embedded into it. I think the dog would hear people trying to break in as well.

That’s well nice, Ray.
Don’t you find the bikes get covered in dust when cranking up all the woodworking kit up?
Very tidy though. Hope it stays like that.
Enjoy!!!!

Thanks. It won't stay tidy for long. I'm one of those people who will let it get in a mess, have a big tidy then vow not to let it get in a mess again only to find four weeks later I'm having to tidy again. My dad also gave me an industrial hoover which is great for the sawdust.

Would a roll down curtain, taro/ poly sheet where the end wall was limit dust transmission?

That's a good idea.
