Annoyingly callander co-op only had punk ipa in individual cans so just had one. Finishing up with a fine whisky.

Re: What are you drinking now?
OK, off we go. Mrs P has given me special dispensation to have a beer tonight, despite insisting we're not allowed to have one until tomorrow evening. Titanic Cherry Porter. Smooth, fruity, dark. Just like my mistress.
Keenly awaiting tomorrow's GRs. Seek and ye shall find. Or something. (No, not assuming owt with the Aber map there, but must be high likelihood).

Allendale Tar Bar'l... Nice traditional 4.5% stout. Perfect for a cold night such as this (and very acceptable on any other night too).

Re: What are you drinking now?
I'll see that and raise you a 5.2% Tiny Rebel "Sleigh Puft" Caramelised Biscuit Ice Cream Marshmallow Porter, currently being consumed for emergency medicinal purposes (*).
Strangely it's got a sort of caramelly biscuity marshmallowy creamy sort of taste.
Pronounced "very nice" by the bloke who helps people with their luggage (**) down at the railway station (***).
(*) I need a drink
(**) pretty unlikely these days I know
(***) ho ho

A couple of pints of "I don't want spaghetti again", from Shiny brewery this evening, accompanying a good chin wag with a load of folk from Peak District MTB and DMBinS.

Not now, but for later tonight I have a bit of Compass Box Peat Monster left from many years ago and the whisky thread reminded me. Apparently it can oxidise if a few drams are left in the bottle for too long so it's the right thing to do.. Especially with a Laphroaig 10 yo to compare it to.

Re: What are you drinking now?
Inveralmond Ossian Ale - somewhat overshadowed these days by all this citrussy, hoppy hipster craft ale (or godawful choclatey stuff) that you lot drink. Not particularly characteristic of anything, just a nice ale with plenty of flavour and not too strong. In fact I might have another

Timmy Taylor's? Nice. It's a 'happy memory' beer from my youth, along with Theakston's XB and Coniston Bluebird.

Re: What are you drinking now?
I'm mildly apprehensive about this one (even though it's a stout, ho-ho). Might split it across two nights. On the upside I presume it's approved of by This Place, being from Bear Town, but then again it's disapproved of because it claims to be a "campfire treat" and obviously they're a no-no. Being a reasonably egalitarian sort of bloke, Reg is also a bit put off by the "Imperial" proclamation. Tasting notes? F-sharp, C-sharp, B-sharp. Actually I can't say yet because my brain's on fire and I can't see properly. In fact it's a bit, OK "way", outside my league. I think I might need to call in some professional help from, appropriately, Bearlegged or somebody. As far as I'm aware, Bob's still OK though - you there Bob?

Re: What are you drinking now?
I'd love to help, I really would, but I'm currently dealing with this matter from Belgium. Apparently the bar only serves it by the half, but my companion found some sort of workaround.

Re: What are you drinking now?
Had an actual pint, in an actual pub earlier. Can't remember the last time I did that. Moor Revival, in the Pint Shop (in Cambridge) for what it's worth.

A can of Hopadelic Session IPA, in a bird hide. Live BaM in progress, dicided to do it properly.
