1991? Me too - what a day that was. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ps0ofF1j5Ag
The crowd grew massively during the set. Dinosaur Jr, Sonic Youth and Iggy Pop followed (or tried).
That dancer was hilarious - just some random that jumped out the crowd wasn't he? I'd forgotten Eugene Kelly made a cameo for Molly's Lips (or maybe didn't know who it was back then).
Kurt dislocated his shoulder launching into the drum kit at the end. Saw them a few times in '92, but it was all going to rats by then

Idly yooootoobing whilst doing paperwork, and found the "Music Enhancement Channel". I've got to say I think he's done a great job on some classics. One at random from our Dusty S: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ker-puxFlVc

Ahh... 60s [music] please come back. Never went away in Reg's head TBH. Bank Holiday vinyl sesh tonight methinks.

My 6 year old randomly started humming the Imperial March as he walked up the stairs to his bath. Geek indoctrination is going well.

Wow, what a line-up. Jealous much?

Had a Dinosaur Jr binge yesterday afternoon.

Also enjoying the new Teenage Fanclub album. 6Music had a Teenage Fanclub theme for "Now Playing" (Tom Robinson) on Sunday evening too - worth a listen if you're a fan.

That unplugged album is one of the few that I go back to time and again.

Nirvana unplugged
Bjork Debut
Pixies Doolittle
Massive Attack Protection
Tom Paley Hard Luck Papa.
There are probably others that I won't remember until I press submit.

Watched a documentary on the assassination attempt on Bob Marley, so Kaya then some Sublime to carry on the vibe, now London Calling by the clash, not a bad track in that disk :-bd

Watched a programme on Frank Zappa on Sky Arts yesterday so today I had a rainy day trip down memory lane visiting his back catalogue.
In particular the Hot Rats album, Zappa and Beefheart at their most lyrical.

Wintersleep, Orca

After some 10 hrs of hammering my bike (mostly) down this song does have a special meaning. Long live chainsaw!

Those who know will not question my words.

Song of my current life:
Fu Manchu, Il Mostro Atomico
Ahhh... bliss.

Calling Techno.... calling Techno....

Sunday evening 9pm BBC4...."Delia Derbyshire: The Myths And The Legendary Tapes" .... Beeb Radiophonic Workshop genius docudrama.... surely the godmother of techno?

And talking of tapes, in other news the Joe Meek 'tea chest tapes' have finally been acquired by Cherry Red Records and the 1800(!) reels will apparently be cleaned and digitised and gradually released after 54 years.

I realise this post may be relished by somewhat of a minority of Boners but then again we are an unusual bunch so who knows.

From my electronica days, while doing work on the campervan this morning I re-discovered
Chris and Cosey.

Saw them live in my late teens down in Stafford at an event called Lotus Electronica.
Pure filth showing on the screen behind them while they played on stage.

How weird is it that I followed your post with Chris and Cosey

When your post above talked about Delia Derbyshire: The Myths And The Legendary Tapes"
with original score by Cosey Fanni Tutti.

Of Chris and Cosey

And there was me about to pre-order Chris Carter's Electronic Ambient Remixes reissues. Anyway... You may be interested in this:
SISTERS WITH TRANSISTORS is the remarkable untold story of electronic music’s female pioneers, composers who embraced machines and their liberating technologies to utterly transform how we produce and listen to music today.

The film maps a new history of electronic music through the visionary women whose radical experimentations with machines redefined the boundaries of music, including Clara Rockmore, Daphne Oram, Bebe Barron, Pauline Oliveros, Delia Derbyshire, Maryanne Amacher, Eliane Radigue, Suzanne Ciani, and Laurie Spiegel.

The history of women has been a history of silence. Music is no exception.

I do hope your post was heavily laden with sarcasm and contempt :-bd

I have a few lifelong achievements that I cling to in times of distress and turbulence:

Never owned a suit (borrowed/wore one once for my father-in-law's funeral), never tried tea or coffee, never been to a football match and never seen even one single second of Eurovision.
