If you put a piece of ply on that, you could use it as a table :-bd

By the Babee Jeebuz, that would handle like a canal boat. Aero for the straight bits. Dead on the downs.

Handling on the hoods/in the drops should be the same, it'll be riding on the tops where any difference will be felt.

What a load of tosh, I particularly like the ‘fact’ that this bike manages to break the laws of physics by requiring less power to ascend the same hill despite being heavier.
So crap it’s funny :-bd

It does make sense tbf - because you can ride it at less than half the speed and still stay upright you need significantly less power.

I'd love a go on one

The dream of adjustable tyre pressure on the fly is something that mountain bikers have been desiring for decades.
I think they are somewhat overstating here

Are they double boots? I've got a pair of Sorels that I haven't even thought about using on the bike due their bulk, but they look quite a bit sleeker.

That desire keeps me awake at night. I've not slept for 30 years.

It’s a double boot. Good idea to be fair, I’ve been impressed with my Bontrager double boots, not quite as warm as those (and not quite as cool looking either!)

They look like they been designed for a Zwift session.
Tea & biscuits on a tray.
( Low cal. swiss ones, full of holes, to save cals & grammes).

It’s not breaking the laws of physics.

It takes more input power from the rider to climb a steep hill in a higher gear than a lower gear.

With a three wheel bike he is saying you can go in a much lower gear without losing balance (you also waste energy maintaining balance at very low speeds)

You will expend similar amounts of energy whatever gear - a lower gear will take less input power but will take longer to complete.

That's bonkers in a brilliant way. It's a bit like a Cleland in niche-ness, probably just as impressive for what it's designer intended. Unfortunately he'll probably sell as many bikes as Geoff Apps does... but I love how he's solved a couple of basic problems so well there.

To me this looks really wrong, lots of potential for disastrous bag meets wheel scenarios:
https://aeroe.com/
https://instagram.com/aeroebikepack?igs ... a7gt7fnv9g

It could be a great product, it just looks wrong to me for sustained off road use.
All the weight wanging about on the end of a long lever, wrong.
Bags that can twist or slip into the wheels/pedals, wrong.

At first glance, totally agree. But... Our handlebars are fastened in the same way so the top plate, if correctly toleranced and fitted should work. That leaves the security of the feet really.

Saw this yesterday too. I really like the look of it, only.....

Can I have it in 148x12
And as a hub / axle / shift button only
And..... With a single cog....20 or 22t preferred (I'd settle for the spec and I'll have a cog made)

if they Could rebuild my Rohloff with a low loss planetary systems.... but large Chainrings!, they will look weird for new bikers looking at older 2 x or 3x front deraileur gear systems be for large cassettes.
A bit like us looking at MTBs with canti brakes & quill (pre-A headset) stems...
actually large Chainring wear at slower rate, more chance of front crunch. shifting under load brilliant.
A major grip of mine  , is how slow front mechs change gear at least 1/3rd - 1/2 of a front crank revolution. regard less of shift ramps tooth profiles etc. :ugeek:
I added a 2x drive on my Rohloff but front shift were poor. May it was more noticeable compared to how quick a Rohloff Speedhub shifts...
