Some Big Agnes tents and kit 50% off at Sigma Sports
Re: Bargain Alert Thread
Probably a little weighty for bike packing but the Hiplok Gold Wearable lock is on (online) offer at Halfords. With the additional 10% BF discount (auto added at checkout) it comes to £61.76. Great for me as my twenty year old Abus Granite chain lock is intermittently playing up and at some point I'm either gonna have to angle grind my bike free from a lamp post or, worse still, wear it for a few days in bath and bed until the locking mechanism behaves......

Some crazy low prices on Silva head torches on wiggle
I've gone for this one https://www.wiggle.com/p/silva-trail-sp ... d=One+Size with alleged 10 hours on full power and a bike mount included... One less excuse to avoid a Bob Graham, and a better off road light for the winter too.
Also got nukeproof Shimano compatible BB for £2.99, so I bought one per bike, and my favourite crazy coloured seal BMX grips for £1.99 so got a few of them too

Clarks BB7 pads for a quid at Halfords. It would only let buy two pairs though. Still, handy if you have one local and they're fine for a commuter.

Restrap are offering 50% off their stem bags for the next 3 days using code SECRETSTEM
It's "exclusively for [their] newsletter audience", but may work even if you're not subscribed?
Looks like it'll expire at the end of the 15th.

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
Off topic.
GERMAN POLICE Genuine Issued Gore Tex* Winter Polar Fleece, Lined Parka Grade 1
I use this as my winter dog walking coat now and it's brilliant
£23.99, claimed to be Goretex*, yes it looks like a Goretex type material but there is no mention of this in German on the coats interior.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00FXY2BKK? ... th=1&psc=1
Loads of pockets inside and outside including 2 massize side opening zipz for reaching trousers pockets for your guns, tazers, pepper spray or handcuffs
It has a removable fleece for winter warmth and a hood rolled down into the collar
I'm 5'8" and of average build, I went for the middle sized (36) one and the arms are a fraction short, but perfect when down by my side.
If you are on the large or tall side I guess the larger one may be too small.
Looking down the reviews and there were larger ones in stock at one time, but 38 looks to be the maximum one now,
But before you buy please scroll down to see the reviews, especially the one that shows that it has the word POLIZEI is clearly printed on the back of the coat
If you can live with that and it fits, you wont get a better coat to doss around in for under £24 anywhere

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
I was very close to buying some of them, there's a thread on the other place about them (and other bargainous Five Tens at Evans). It's worth bearing in mind that:petemaz wrote: ↑Fri Nov 17, 2023 3:53 pm Great deals on Five Ten Trailcrossat Evans, lots of sizes available...

Postage is quite a few quid on top I think, regardless of how much you're spending, or if you collect from a shop.
The sizing seems to be a bit odd.
They seem to be having some stock control issues - some people having their orders cancelled, but others getting them fine.
With all that, and the Mike Ashley effect, I decided to wait til I actually need some and buy from a real shop where I can try them on. Caveat emptor.

And the 100kg rider weight rules out 1/2 this forum.

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
Nukeproof bottom brackets - GXP @ £10 and DUB @ £15. I've found them pretty good and the bearings are easy to replace. The DUB at £15 is cheaper than the replacement bearings mind you.
