This might be stretching the bargain thing, but instead of selling both kidneys, one might do. There’s some offers on Oakley's, including their prescription lenses, the best being 25% off till the end of March-

Complete with obligatory Grauniad mis-spelling too :-bd .

Just bought some of them there Bearlegged waterproof socks. Must be something wrong with them at £8/pair instead of £40. Sizing ranges were a bit inconvenient too. Still, can always use them as outdoors Christmas stockings I suppose.

Was just about to post that quote too  . Utterly hilarious.

If you're only "sipping" from it what's the point of the "innovative high flow design"? ("it's got a bigger spout"?)

Stop it Reg, it's a waste of time!

Apparently "squeezing slows you down".
If I slowed down anymore I'd fall off the bike, so maybe I need a couple of these :???:
We go out into the hills to lose ourselves, not to get lost. You are only lost if you need to be somewhere else and if you really need to be somewhere else then you're probably in the wrong place to begin with.

I get some stuff in a previous sale, softshell jacket and some windproof tights, so impressed with them I bought another pair of the tights :-bd

Both top and bottoms have lasted well, washed well and survived the odd crash too

Waterproof socks from as little as £8/pr.
Turned up. Will see if as good as my ArcticDrys and Dexshells. Never been impressed with SSkins stuff I'm afraid. Waterproof socks and sandals now my standard biking footwear so need good ones. Just a shame the little sheep logo isn't on the actual socks  . Glad I got Large size as they're definitely 'undersized'.

I had my long and short-sleeved bargain reversible poly/merino base layers turn up from them today. Should have gone for the medium rather than large as they're a bit loose as true base layers go but seem nice quality.

What size shoes do you wear? I'm looking at getting some, and am a size 9.5 so right on the cusp of sizes... Guess I'd better size up?

I'm 9-9.5 Paul.... the L's are pretty snug.. so yes would think they would be your best bet? I think they're a bit naughty claiming 9.5-12.5....

Went to Halfords today after yet another lost rear light. Me being in black clothing I wasn't gonna risk a blind driver. The Viz150, 300 and 100 were £30, £40 and £21 respectively. Quick check on the website and they'd obviously been price matching others. Prices of £21, £30 and £16.

Aero post friendly, IPX4 rated, usb (not usb c) charging and a 2 year warranty. Whats not to like!

What's the on/off switch like Shaff? I'm fed up of rear lights that seem to resist all efforts to switch them on or off - Exposure traces being particularly bad for this. My moon lights are OK but the flash mode is a bit slow.

I'd say it's regular Cateye quality. Looks a bit :geek: and square/edgy as always. But appears that they've been watching the market and I've got a good feeling about it.

Put it this way, aside from me trying to be less emotional with drivers taking a close piss these days, it appears the dancing lights kept em giving me a wide berth. Come to think of it, my first 10 years of commuting was always with cateye rear lights and I never had an altercation with traffic. Last 10 have been a bit volatile and the one factor is the Cateye missing...

Let me see if I can get the tripod out and make a little shorty!!
