Excellent idea Sean, JamesO & HTR :-bd
Here's my effort:

Pasta with Tuna, Leek and Lime.

Ingredients:
1 Leek
1 Lime
1 carton of Creme Fraiche (300ml)
Herbs of your choosing
1 tin of tuna
Knob of butter (no sniggering  )

Serves 2
Cooking time 20 minutes.

Slice the leek.
Melt the butter in a saucepan.
Add the leek and cook on medium until it softens.
Zest the lime skin and add to the saucepan.
Add the creme fraiche.
Add the herbs.
Squeeze the lime juice into the pan.
Mix thoroughly, simmer for 10 mins whilst cooking the pasta.
Add the drained tuna to the sauce, mix until warm throughout.
Drain pasta, serve and enjoy.

The 3 really distinct flavours make an interesting combination  .

I managed to get a cauliflower yesterday, so knocked up

Pasta
Good hand full of Frozen peas
Two carrots
Quarter of cauli

Boil the peas and dump the water. Cook the pasta and save the water. Dice carrot and cauli and boil in pasta water for a for about two minutes. Melt some butter in pan, decent spoon of flour and stir to make roux, add a bit of milk and the pasta-veg water, add a handful of grated cheddar. chuck in pasta and veg and off you go.

Popped into the M&S at the bottom of the village on the way home about an hour ago, Shelves were pretty full though no loo roll or eggs and only fresh baked bread to be had :o. I came home with a couple of packets of fresh egg noodles, some lovely looking peeled king prawns, fresh snow peas, baby corn and some coriander. That will all come together tonight when the kids get home from their mother's, flash fried in the wok with a shallot, soy, chilli and ginger.

Hard. This.

In all seriousness, I doubt this will last. The lady who served me was wearing gloves and a mask and asked me politely to pay with card, not cash, which I thought was mighty sensible. As the place was empty, we had a long chat. She said people were banging at the door at 9am demanding to be let in, when the signs say clearly they open at 10. When they did open, there was a mad rush for the better Malbecs and then it quietened down. Gotta love the Chalfonts.

My effort - a good post ride meal:- Chorizo sausage, fresh tomatoes, onions and one of those quinoa / bulgar wheat / pulse boil in the bag / microwave variants
Chop up and fry sausage and onions, add tomatoes, add some puree if you managed to find any, red pesto is a good alternative, water down to taste. Zap quinoa, throw in bowl, eat. Add cheese if you like it

In Reverse, all of the special brew was gone from Morrisons last night. Craft lager it is people!

Had pasta and prawns in curry sauce in a very posh restaurant in Zermatt 30 years ago. Totally random combo, but the type of stuff that you'd find left in the supermarkets especially if you go for fresh pasta which is of no interest to preppers.

Where is everyone getting their pasta from??
I must be the only iti with over 100ltrs of homemade passata and no pasta.
I can't even make fresh pasta as all the flour is sold out too!! (Or pizza)
