My Revelate bag doesn't suffer from flop so has never needed this accessory. Just as well really, I'd have to buy one for 4 or 5 bikes
Re: Glasgow bikepacking shops?
Now that I do like! Could probably do that, I’ll need to take the bag off for CX reasons but it only takes a minute to swap a spacer so.....
The Alpkit isn’t actually flopping (so far), just not overly confident. Will need to give it a proper test

neat work Sean!
Re: Glasgow bikepacking shops?
Are DeWidgets fairly similar in availability to rocking horse poo? I see Bikepacking Scotland has them listed but no stock. However I could get the Rockgeist equivalent fairly easily
Re: Glasgow bikepacking shops?

Re: Glasgow bikepacking shops?
haha oops! I'd missed the part where it was you actually making them! Now stop spamming the forum and get back on the lathe/mill

I asked Alpkit to custom build me one of their top tube bags for me to fit Jon's Widget (oh er missus )MarkP wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 4:46 pm Cheers. I was thinking about just heading to an alterations place to have a quick chat. One little horizontal loop of fabric and then another loop of velcro and it'd be sorted.
Cost saving does seem like the only reason for the change. They now talking about trimming the velcro at the front to suit, but it's not like you can ever add material again
Took an extra week to get to me rather than a stock one but it's brilliant.
And another vote for Lomo who are based in Glasgow.
I don't have any of their bike packing gear but if it's as good as the stuff I use from them for my pack rafting you won't go far wrong for the price.
