Lee and Jenny managed to cadge a lift from an estate tractor thing, taking them through the ford. I think they were already considering abandoning the inner loop. Possible they are currently in the Pine Marten πŸ˜„

Same story here. Disappointed, but at the same time glad to be home, dry and warm. Always a learning game. Today's lesson is don't let FOMO get in the way of rationale.

Great to meet those I met for the first time today and equally to see those I already know.

Howard is pretty amazing, huh. I'll be following his dot.

Howard is awake. I wonder if he has noticed that his Spot batteries are low?

Heading towards civilization and a train home, it would be the wise decision or is he going to pick Lee and Jenny up from the pub and get them back on course

Try and find Lee's video on FB of the Gaick crossing, Jenny hysterical laughter and a ranging torrent -- and that's no ordinary estate vehicle they got a lift from! Not sure is this link is public but it's epic: https://www.facebook.com/stories/2131157663576868/

I just rode down to the ford and back to see what it was like. Ankle deep at worst. Deepest bit would be just as you enter on the south side.

Found the Tromie Taxi too.

My current plan is to leave BA Friday afternoon aiming to get to Glenmore for a lochside bivvy and a couple of pots in the PM. Aiming for dinner (and more beer) in the OBI Saturday night and a bivvy between there and Forest Lodge.

We'll see.

The OBI is just off-route as you go through Inverdruie. Turn left and follow the NCN7 signs.

The thing I've noticed since moving here (and that wasn't a thing previously) is jockey wheels getting worn quickly.

Yep I'll be starting at 5am on Saturday morning. I'll hopefully get a spotwalla page sorted before I start.

Hope to see some folks out on the trail, say Hi as you pass!

Ahh, thought I read it was an Argo which seemed ambitious but that's a BV206 which is a much better bet  Most likely ex royal marines.
