not sure about the spot but have you got a tow rope? feeling a bit more prepared this evening have sausage casserole cooked and in the freezer and have found my other extra thick seal skin sock.

What more could I need!? :-O

Would like to, but need to save some pennies and sort the bike out for Strathpuffer later in the month...Wales is a bit of a mission to get to.

PLanning on keeping an eye on the forums a bit more this year though ;)

I shall also watch a few of the spots for some armchair virtual riding in more remote places

Well, it's shaping up to be a cold night. The rain of this morning has gone and been replaced with a clear sky and a really cold NE wind. There was a touch of snow in the air this afternoon which may or maynot return ;)

Everyone looked well prepared for whatever lies ahead ... which may well be a pub in Rhayader from the sound of things. Routes seemed to vary wildly with distances ranging from 100km to over 200km with all points in between.

Ooooh, nice and cold - hope everyone's got their down beanies!

At least it's dry (for now!).

Nice going folks.

Just like to say a big thank you and well done to everyone who took part. Overnight temps were down to about -5 but no one died and everyone kept smiling ;)

You'll be pleased to know that everywhere is now white over, so we only missed the snow by a couple of hours ... maybe next year.

Cracking weekend - not sure when the guys who took the photos were in the Elan Valley, but their weather didn't look like mine! I had big plans, and on Saturday almost completed them (didn't get as far as St Harman though) and Sunday I couldn't face a brutal slog through a bog, so had a pleasant road ride home through Hafren forest. Descending the old road down towards Rhayader was great - would love to try that in daylight or with lights! Kipped down along the Nannerth road by the river, and slept like a baby for at least 4 hours, then had to cook another meal to stay warm.

Cake and coffee at the end - Dee's victoria sponge was fantastic. :D

Thank you Stuart and Dee for a great event , Dee the cake was very good indeed.

We managed to get round all the check points doing about 68 miles , our only problem was the Mid Wales Inn at St Harmon. They took us hostage, made us eat, drink and be merry , kept us overnight and did not let us leave until they had fed us a full english breakfast in the morning. (sorry Stu ,they made us honest).
