Exposure lights burn vs brightness

Post by lune ranger »

Just taken delivery of a second hand Mk12 Joystick after my ancient MK2 died. It doesn't have any instructions and I was wondering about the different programmes.
1) I assume burntime is directly proportional to brightness and that the different programmes with the same burntimes have equal brightness. Is that correct?
E.g. 10hrs on programme1 is the same brightness as 10hrs on programme 2

2) How do you switch programme?

For part 2

And it should also part one too :-bd

In short, the same burn time will emit the same amount of light (or at least it does on my old joystick)

You can work out the lumens at any run time. Multiply the shortest burn time by the stated lumens of the light. That's your maximum available. Now for any burn time divide this figure by the burn time to obtain the lumens output. So for a 1000 lumen light with 1.5hrs you have a total of 1500 lumen-hours. For the Joystick on program 2, on medium settings with a burn time of 10hrs you have 150 lumens being output.

When the light is off press and hold the ‘on’ button until the main light flashes rapidly several times.

At that point the ‘status’ led on the back will being to flash slowly. The number of flashes is the mode it will end up in.

Release the button when it’s in the right mode. The status light will rapidly flash for a second or so and then the light is set in that mode.
