Top tip re Snow White there MaM ta. They're always blinking closing bits aren't they. Still, can't whinge cos it does get a hell of a lot of use. Absinthe and SnapIt over on Monkey are shut too apparently but I can wiggle round those.

Innertubes it is, not tubeless on the ramin yet.hopefully be at yours for just after 9ish. Is anyone taking stoves ( for late night brews) or is dining out the option?

If its squelchy out I'll probably be better off on the bouncy bike even if it is be-tubed and just avoid the tow path on the way to Milford.

Bloody hell, is it just me or do I feel like people take less on a round the world tour than I do for a one nighter..

My sleeping gear fills my bar bag and seat bag so going for an overnighter just means I don't need a small rucksack for extra clothing.

If I don't arrive at the caff, I'll be in a big messy heap at the bottom of Lower Cliff waiting to be rescued!

Waiting for train, pointlessly pristine 4x4 rolls up with bloke driving and lass in passenger seat. Nice of him to give her a lift I thought, even though they've probably only come 400 yards. But no, twit gets out and goes into the station and lass slides into driver's seat and clears off. Apparently she's capable of executing that half of the journey without mishap. Seriously? My parents used to do that 50 years ago.

Ace! straight into Rugers centre, avoid nasty C***a etc, nice little basic caff as usual. Pot of tea and flapjack £1.50! Only there 20 mins and already got all the town goss and info. Lovely place. They also mentioned the Vine as a top boozer - onsite brewery, proper fires etc. Right, spose I gotta ride now then.

Did Mr T leave his bike unattended again?

Nice to see you all - sorry it was such a flying visit.

Not so nice was getting up at 4.30am to make it home on time - hope it didn't disturb your slumber too much when the alarm went off
Sitting at my desk looking out at blue sky and wanting to be still out there

I love the "blinged-out carbon full-suss with a gaffer-tape plastic water bottle holder" vibe :-bd

It's sooooo "quintessentially Reg" :geek:

Spend it only where you need it . Is that the tape from your other bike?

Aye a bit embarrassing but I was young and impressionable when I bought it (ie < 60)

Splashed out on separate gaffer tape I'm sad to say.

I’ve ‘acquired’ some clear gorilla tape through work if you would like some, bound to be even lighter if you can’t see it :-bd

Dark matter apparently disproves my theory according to The late steven hawking, but what did he know about bikepacking?

tempted - the clear tape would leave the bottle appearing to float in mid-air  . Hawking knew a lot about bikepacking. Well he was probably aware of the quantum theory of bikepacking - the more you try to pin down your momentum (ie speed and direction) the less likely you are to have the remotest idea where the hell you are!

You could be on to something.....

Heisenberg's uncertainty principle, it states that the more precisely the position of some particle is determined, the less precisely its momentum can be known, and vice versa.
Now bikepackers often have lots of extra particles which, according to the great men of science is why we find ourselves temporally indeterminate of our location. No escaping science, except for my teralogic forks which may be witchcraft :???:

Gah, finally got round to finding the cable to upload my garmin data and it appears to have lost all rides from this year and it's refusing to connect to a PC. For my own tracking purposes, roughly how many miles did we do on Wednesday once we met up at Birches?
