Run to the sun ... not a clique, everyone was invited to come last year. Set off late on the evening of the summer solstice (or the nearest Fri to) - aim to ride through the night and arrive at the seaside 'around' dawn. Snooze / eat / nob about for a few hours then turn tail with a night out on the way.

Me and my friend were planning a much more northerly one, but all bets are off now with my current heart issue.

brilliant ride, down to the route to be honest what a great mix of terrain up and down, more of the same this year

worst bit of the ride was waiting for a trap,poxy roadies

I know had to hold it in till we got back to the pub made me even slower

There used to be an all night ride round Edinburgh on the Solstice many years ago.
Do they still do that?

Planning to do that one again as I did it a few years back and it was a nice atmosphere (helped by good weather). Is a nice run for the old road bike.
