I have bottle cage mounts inside the small triangle of my mtb frame. Using some frame luggage means that i can only use one bottle cage.
So, i want to add some cages to the legs of my Fox 32 forks. How can I add cages to these legs? Is it just using a large jubilee type clip? What proprietry solutions is anyone using?

Monki-clip and monki-cage?

A Monkii clip probably won't open up enough to go round the forks.

I've used these in the past and they work well.

It will, but that decathlon mount looks pretty good

I used one of those Decathlon straps on the French Divide last year and it wasn't up to the job. I used it to mount a bottle cage on the seat tube see this blog post for a shot - http://bobwightman.blogspot.com/2018/08 ... -list.html it lasted just over a day before the cage began to slide down and rotate around the tube. Might work better on non-circular tubing.

I too have had problems with these mounts moving about and now don't use them.
Jubilee clips whilst ugly work very well. Just remember to protect your fork legs with a wrap of inner tube or something.

Expensive but reliable option is the King Cage USB universal support bolt. Charlie the Bike Monger has them I think.
I've used them in rigid forks for luggage cages with no issues.
I have seen plenty of photos of cages with small bottles variously attached with hose clips, zip ties or even tape. Can't comment on how long they last however

I've used the decathlon mounts on the forks and used a couple of cable ties around the rubber straps to keep them from slipping, they were fine like that.

I use Cateye light clips on my Truss fork, I'm wondering if the larger adjustable light brackets would work? I'll see what I've got in the garage later.

I have a couple of pairs of the Elite straps. I thought they'd be easier to fit and remove, which would be useful for moving between bikes and changing setup depending on frame bags, etc., but they're a bit of a faff really and so I haven't used them as much as I thought. However, one pair's been on one of my bikes for so long I'd forgotten they weren't actual bottle bosses. They will rotate a small amount under pressure, but they've never slipped down - they're on my downtube, but I think I've used them on the seat tube too.

A wrap of self-amalgamating rubber tape would probably prevent slippage.

Anyway, I bought one of the Decathlon ones when I was in before Christmas - haven't used it yet - to replace the Elite one, so would part with them for a few quid, though Halfords have them for £4 so may not be worth it if you've one nearby: https://www.halfords.com/cycling/bike-a ... age-strips

It’ll be fine, just wear safety specs when drilling the hole

On a slightly saner note, tape works well, but...you might want to look for another water carrying idea. Adding unsprung weight (heavy wheels ect) will degrade the forks performance.
I carry a bottle in a stemcell, woolftooth make double bottle adapters, cage in front of the seat post/on top tube.

I've had the elite bottle cage mounts on my solaris for a few years now, they've been used a lot and I've never had a problem with them. Considering how cheap they are they really are quite amazing

I quite forgot that I have a pair lowering a cage on the Fargo, must be ok

I've used that Decathlon mount on my (rigid) fatbike forks and it was fine.
