Hi All, just joined forum today, looking forward to the banter. Did BB200 in 2017, missed this years and looking at the weather might have been a blessing in disguise. Also signed up for the Winter event, see you in Jan. Cheers

Yeah why not. I could do with an excuse to traverse the Mountain Road from the station on sheet ice again.

"You just had to include that freaky thing didn't you..." - yes but it'll look superb on a T-shirt . Er, if there was one. Ah well.

(Arg! Nearly fell foul of the "Non-EU" 'shipping' button on the checkout!)

To be fair reg ,the builders over the road woke me after 2 hrs sleep so had a brew and signed up , took me a good 5 minutes to realise Stu wasn't posting me anything and to tick the collect from bbt button , (not the brightest at best of times but on nights I really get confused)

"signed up" - I can feel a little team of ne'er-do-wells forming already . I'm reasonably sure there's a pub in Mach called "Y Raider Bedd". Reasonably sure. So we'll be easily fixed up - a quick 15 mile bimble over the hill behind Stu's, get a bit damp in a stream or two, slip on some sheets of ice, then put our feet up in front of the fire with a few jars for the rest of the weekend.

Welll I'm committed now, whatever the weather's doing, 'cos the obligatory Star room has been booked! Not sure which one because obviously Richard gets first dibs in his mission to "do" them all, I think he's almost there but maybe I'll be lucky to cop a new one for my attempt too.

Very welcome indeed to risk joining us - twould be good to see you again. We've got 'previous' (*) on churches and chapels haven't we, and I'm a bit of a connoisseur of graveyards of course. Tombs means I can tick off the ecclesiastical set.

(*) ie. completely missing every one of them on the gridref list until desperately swerving into the very last one before Stu's to try and save some sort of face....

I'm in. Did it last year where it was clear and sunny all weekend. Assume that is usual for Mid Wales in January?

'usual' - yep you'll be right as rain in that Cumulus 150 / Minim......

Will enter later in month.

A few years ago Derby was looking to name a new inner ring road and the winner picked by the locals was Lara Croft Way which I occasionally ride along.

Maybe we should have been asked to think up names for boats as well.

Possible bonus check point for January?

To increase our culture quotient we also have the only statue in the world to ' bonnie' Prince Charlie.

Bec's given me the "The Blue Room" Rich, but you've probably done that one already  So have I for that matter . Nobody else booked yet apparently, so it's all to play for!

Sadly I’m not able to join you, booked into a family gathering that weekend. Will be not so far away just in south snowdonia.

I completely forgot about it to be honest. Everything's been a bit crazy since I got ill.
