Garmin and strava

Post by rufus748 »

Trying to upload from Oregon 700 to strava.
I've used Garmin connect on my mobile and it's saved on the from my Oregon. However when it uploads to strava it adds the additional 1000 miles whilst I was fast on the plane even though the device was turned off.
Can I edit the course?

I use Basecamp for this. Double click on my track/route, shows all the known points on the GPX. Find the one that has a few hundred/thousand miles - that's where you want to split your GPX. Once split, open the GPX that you want to tidy and trim top/tail accordingly.

There's a spanner symbol somewhere which has a "crop" option if you click it.

you can do it on strava
Go to training - my activities
select the route by clicking on it
on the right is a spanner icon [click on that and choose crop from menu

Crop the route to remove the flight - easy to do if its the start or end of a ride.
