I have a Gen 3 Spot that can be available for Dales Divide etc. I was going to cancel the subscription, but if people are willing to pay £30 for an event's use, I may keep it going. They've offered $60 discount, which by renewal date in April might be worth £100 if the £ tanks..... :???:
I've rented it out for this before (in fact it's had a couple of second place HT550 finishes....)
Renting it out requires resetting log in and messages etc.
If anyone looking is interested let me know soon, as renewal is April 4th.

EDIT - Just seen how cheap to rent them it is here: https://www.globaltelesat.co.uk/spot-tracker-rental
Not worth the hassle/risk of loss/damage for me to offer at that rate.

Wanted

Spot tracker for the dales divide. I have one but it’s not got a live subscription.

Would ideally like it from w/c 6th April so I can get it linked up on the tracking sites in good time.

Would post back w/c 13th April.

Drop me a PM

Spot wanted to hire/borrow for Dales Divide.
Event starts 10 April, so I'll need it a few days before, probably a week altogether.
Thanks you!

Looks pretty swish. Nothing on any improvements (if any) there though.

Hi all

I'm doing the 2021 HT550 (hopefully if it goes ahead) and am on the lookout for a Garmin Inreach to borrow or hire for the event. Any kind souls out there or know of a hire company?

Thanks

Garmin InReach

Post by garydavies44 »

Hi all

Alan Goldsmith has confirmed that the event is likely to go ahead. I have found a few companies which hire the Garmin Inreach (or mini) which are outlined below:

https://www.tracktrail.co.uk/garmin-inreach-hire
https://gtc.co.uk/garmin-inreach-explor ... ker-rental
https://www.expedition-tracking.com/hire-tracker.

Anybody have one I can borrow for ~2 weeks in May? Happy to contribute some £.

Thanks

Could well mean Alan Smith.

Or Alan Smith.

It feels like a name from a bygone era tbh.
