Real Ale Wobble - 17/18 November

Mountain biking + beer. What could possibly go wrong ;)
Anyone up for it and perhaps mix it up with a bivvy in the woods on Saturday night?

It's my birthday on the 19th and I had a bivi planned, anybody fancy that or is the real ale wobble a better option.
If I do the RAW without bivi, I have no other free weekends to keep up with the bivi-a-month challenge, so it's a bivi weekend for me anyway, just where is the question.

I could be up for this ... as long as no one makes me drink any dirty beer.

What are you thinking? Both days or just Sat then off into the hills for the night?

In previous years I've just done the beer bit on the Saturday, and then gone off into the hills for a longer ride on the Sunday - maybe get in Doethie Valley or something. If Matt were to come along too, we could go over Carnau and back over Afon Arban.

:!: sudden idea - we could do Moel Prysgau on Saturday evening as an alternative to a bivvy depending on the Weather (Wales, November)?

I am a maybe. Away for 2-3 weeks just before this with Herself so a pass is easy enough to arrange. Legs could be arguing with me all weekend though....

Do we have any definite's for the RAW weekend? I've got four gratis entries for the Saturday only.

Me
Flatfishy
(s8tannorm) - no entry required if you're not drinking

The route is SW of Llanwrtyd this year, around Crychan and Halfway. Lots of bivvy potential for the Saturday night so flatfishy can keep up his bivvy-a-month.

Sorry ... you'll have to drink dirty beer without me* as I'm now working on the 18th.

*I'm sure you'll manage.

When you say 'four gratis entries', you mean we don't have to pay through the Green Events website?

Can't make the Saturday now, but may make Sunday, and hopefully Sat night bivvy. Keep me posted on the bivvy arrangements.

Thanks

I only found out this evening that were going on holiday on Friday and not tomorrow.
I'm always the last to know round here.

I've never stayed at Gwyrne Fawr Bothy.
Start near Crickhowell or somewhere like that, and come back over the Black Mountains on Sunday?

It's quite small that one, and quite busy.
I've seen bigger garden sheds.
Theres no wood anywhere near either.
