Yeah - looking good as camp/bothy footwear I reckon.

I bought two pairs when it was still at the funding stage.
Basically:
I don't wear them!
Maybe it was the sizing was off, maybe I didn't like the way the gravel just kept falling off, they don't do well in damp conditions (wet socks) but I just didn't get on with them.

Was a shame as I thought they would be really handy.

What flying fox said. I've not used them in anger as the "gravel" is just too fragile.

Been on the lookout for something like this but $95 for 2 pairs of coated + soled socks seems a little optimistic. Those Vibram wrap-arounds are also really pricey, $100+. Look weird too.

I use the seaside peble beach swim shoes.
Got a sturdy sole for standing on Weaver fish and neoprene upper for quick drying.
Weigh a hefty 500g and cost a fiver.

There are some shoes on aliexpress that might work for this, but they were for asian feet and I'm an 11 so they weren't available in my size

Last time I went I took my VIbram Five Fingers, they're amazing :D
Expensive but I get so much use from them otherwise, I wear them most of the time, they're really comfy, and amazing for gym etc... too.

Sometimes it doesnt have to be all high tech and modern.

My favourite ultra packable spare shoes are just daps, found a pair with a sole to thin they roll up. Nylon upper dries well and elastic laces makes them very comfortable. Great for "barefoot" style running too as you can feel the ground and spread your toes. Weight 160g per Pair!!

My other favourite is a pair of slip on plimsolls. Like toms but much thinner sole and very flexible. Not for camping but weight 175g per pair, take up no room and look good enough for a wedding! Mostly for touring, holidays, or as a smart town shoe when just chilling around on my roadie.

We obviously must go to very different weddings!

Round here its all brown boat shoes (with no socks!!) and black suits with rolled ankles, or tweed suits and grey suede lace ups.

Still....i got complimented on my hipster-est attire and starts a great conversation about minimalism and who can act the most pretentious in a formal setting
